Here at Our Patch we encourage everyone to G.R.O.W. We are Grounded, both as individuals and as a team, by being mindful and taking responsibility, as we build open, purposeful and lasting Relationships, take Ownership of our roles and have pride in all that we do – in order to create endless opportunities for magic, imagination and Wonder where children are able to grow.
We are looking for a visionary Patch Leader (Coordinator) and Patch Educator (Assistant) to run an established Outside School Care Program within the Ballarat region. This OSHC program will be providing After School Care.
For this program we are looking for Educators who are community minded, and ready to listen to children’s VOICE. Communication is the key for these roles, the Patch Leader & Patch Educator will need to be approachable & visible within the school community, and they will offer a calm approach to GROW relationships with children and the school community.
The Patch Leader (Coordinator) will be employed on a part time basis with a minimum of 25 hours a week and the Patch Educator (Assistant) will be employed on a part time basis with a minimum of 15 hours a week, offering quality opportunity to focus on planning and embedding children’s VOICE in all that we do during the School Term.
Our Patch is a fresh provider in the education and care space, which has been meticulously designed from the ground up by Rosa Piteri and Daniel Mundy. It spouted from a dream to create entirely unique spaces that gives children voice and offers them a safe place of wonder in which to GROW.
It is our aim at Our Patch to grow and develop grounded and respectful children, brimming with confidence, who are true to themselves, and have a keen commitment to each other and shared community values. Our vision is that all children will want to come to Our Patch and experience a true sense of ownership, because they love being in a space specifically designed for them – not because it is the only choice they have. Making an impact every step of the way.
VOICE. VALUE. EXCELLENCE. We want to ensure that your interactions with other Our Patch employees and the schools we work with will reflect the values that Our Patch places on people, teamwork, open communication, and our commitment to superior customer service.
Our vision is to create a patch for every child to grow and thrive in. All children deserve a safe space they can go to before and after school (and holiday programs too!) where they can have a program that allows them to become grounded and assured in themselves, foster relationships with each other and our educators, take ownership of their spaces and their actions, and explore their sense of wonder. We will walk the walk and talk the talk, so if we’re asking this of all children who attend Our Patch, we will also be modelling this behaviour in ourselves. We want Our Patch to be a place where time is valued and appreciated, everyone’s voice is heard, and where we bring excellence to everything we do.
Our Patch is committed to protecting children from harm. We require all applicants to undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment. The successful applicant is required to possess a current and valid ‘working with children’ check and is subject to a satisfactory criminal history record check.
Patch Leader
The Patch Leader (Coordinator) is one of significant importance to Our Patch with a commitment to safeguarding children. They are also responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Before and After School Care Program to ensure practises are embedded to operate in line with our GROW Values and brand promises.
The Patch Leader demonstrates passion and drive, leading a team of Patch Educators to ensure the voice of every child is recognised, provide quality offerings, and build relationships with children, families, schools, and communities.
Patch Educator
Patch Educators (Assistant) will support the Patch Leader (Coordinator) to design and deliver an offering based on children’s voices. Together, each Patch team will ensure that each patch is compliant, meets/exceeds the National Quality Framework and most importantly keep children safe at all times.
